Mandy Hornaday

Mandy spent a decade at Motion Recruitment going from junior marketer to VP of Marketing, running the full function with a 25-person team as the organization scaled from $50 million to $750 million through organic growth and two acquisitions. Along the way she built Tech in Motion from an idea into a national community of more than 300,000 tech professionals and over 120 events a year.

She then ran the whole growth engine at RevenueBase, a venture-backed B2B SaaS startup, leading sales, business development, customer success, and marketing as revenue doubled from $1 million to $2 million in ARR. In 2024 she returned to marketing as a fractional CMO and saw the same pattern in company after company: excellent leaders drowning in execution, with no operating system underneath them.

So she rebuilt her own practice on systems instead of instinct, with AI as the engine inside the system. Today the practice generates more than $40,000 a month in recurring revenue across clients as different as a pre-revenue startup, a $150 million company, and a $500 million company, all running on the same operating system. Growth Activated is how she hands that system to other marketing leaders. It is the operating system she wishes she had the day she first stepped into the seat.

Mandy built most of Growth Activated on the road, living and working abroad with her husband Curt and their two dogs, Bella and Jax.
